Sensing their attachment to the mother country's land, people, culture, language and values, and in accordance with Canadian laws which foster and encourage multiculturalism, and confirming their desire to contribute and participate in building the Canadian society, the Syrian Canadians in the National Capital Region have decided to establish this association, which is a social cultural and non-profit organization, working for the following objectives:

To foster harmony and cooperation among Syrians in particular, and between them and other nationalities in general.

To enhance the social status of the Syrian community, and promote its best interest by providing necessary counseling and information services, and to work wherever necessary to help newly-arrived Syrian immigrants.

To enhance the cultural heritage, the linguistic and the moral values among community members.

To coordinate activities and to cooperate with Syrian and other communities and organizations in Canada.

To strengthen the Syrian Arab community's involvement in Canadian society and provide information about Syria to Canadians.
